coldfront

this has been going on here in southern TN now for past week, week and half.  took a break when last cold front blew through and it got down into mid-30's for mid-day high.

redbuds in the backyard hit the 'bloom' button yesterday ...  daffodils are up and in full bloom.

it's coming.  just has to get outta the south.

remember:  if you want an earlier spring, all you gotta do bud is 'accept' 6 months of heat/humidity.

Early Spring is attempting to occur here across Central Texas.  Our Red Bud Trees are now starting to get buds on them.  I've seen a couple wild ones already in full bloom.  The forecasters are telling us that warmer weather is coming (its here now) but in the upcoming forecasts next month there's some cold fronts moving into the area.

We've had snow on the ground during Easter a couple years now  :surrender:

I figure sometime in April Spring will be here  ;)   July - September we'll enjoy our Texas Summers  ~sweat ~sweat ~sweat

First sign for our area is the almond and fruit trees blooming.  That sarted about 10 days ago and is in full swing now.  Then this happened, snow down below 1000 feet elevation.

That's the big story on TV news this morning
I knew I shoulda re-tied!!

Pat, Allen, you guys can KEEP THAT WHITE STUFF at your location ;)  People down here in Central Texas do not know how to drive in that stuff.  Some of these people here can't even drive in a hard rain storm ~b~

Pat glad to see that y'all have gotten some snow and additional rain here lately.  So how much of that run off will help bring the lakes back up?

Donald, the rain and snow are definitely helping. Some smaller lakes are full. Larger ones are in Ranger of their flood reserve level. The huge snow pack will fill some of them in late spring and keep them full into summer. Really great to see.

We look about the same as D3, winter is finally raising it's ugly head. gotta love La Nina, wish the dummies would quit harping on global warming or climate change or what ever they're calling it now.

been watching the news and how the 'hype' changes.  now they're reporting on the MILLIONS of folks impacted by weather events.  great way to bring home the message that WEATHER is a large scale event... won't be long now and the story will change from 'the forgotten' DROUGHT! to OMG... flooding, too much water... mudslides.  like folks can't look around california and figure out two things:  1.  it's mostly a freakin desert/arid and 2.  when it rains it pours.  that's what the terrain shows (erosion patterns).  they didn't just build those water retention reservoirs in Cali for water supply... they also control downstream flooding.

just seems that it's all part of the plan to get folks thinking '...we MUST control this stuff...'.  like we are capable of 'climate control' on a global scale to mimic what we do in side our four walls.

want to see God laugh?  make plans...

California, and Western states, water wars have been going on for over a century.  We have popluated areas that have historically flooded in many winters and we have decided to farm areas that historically are deserts.  Now with 40 million people, the push and pull for water never ends.
