Arrived at the ramp at 0 dark thirty. Decided to fish an area I haven't fished for few weeks. Was hoping to come across a nice bass bite, but unfortunately it never materialized at this location. Yet.  ;)

After four hours of throwing all kinds of baits for bass, I decided to switch gears and target peas. Man,, I should have done it earlier!! Let's just say the peacock population is very healthy. I fined tuned my approach and figured out where the bigguns were hiding out. Managed to catch a few nice ones, but I ran out of time and had to leave them biting.  :'( The good news is, as I mentioned earlier. The Peacocks numbers and size are pretty good. This Spring should be CRAZY!

Nice fish. Looks like they were hitting the swimbait. Is there a particular jighead that you like?

Thanks Flats, as far as swimbait jig heads, I like the GOATS Jig head from Gambler.

Way to save the day!  Look at the variation in colors from almost black to normal pea coloring.  Must all those months back in that thick vegetation and sawgrass during high water.   Great job Lou!
