I talked to a guy at Cabelas and he recommened the Daiwa Advantage super tuned($139) with 8 ball bears anyone used this reel? Like I said i have never had a baitcaster before and want one that can be used for a variety of applications. I want to spend less than 150 bucks and am going to cabelas in 2 weeks what reel do you guy reccomend? What gear ratio would be best for spinnerbaits? Cranks? Plastics? All purpose?

I use Team Daiwa Advantage 150P and 153Hs both are real good reels, but Not All Purpose

IMHO there is only one on the market, and I base this on Research not hype, conversation,
advertising or any other form of media coverage possible..........

The NEW RevoSX from Abu Garcia in a 6.4:1 ration can be used in ALL the situations you mentioned including Jigging, Flippin, Pitchin, Cranksbaits, Spinnerbaits, Lipless Cranks, Worms, Carolina Rigs etc.........and the best part is in the DRAG......There is not another reel on the market today for Freshwater/Brackish water that has the amount of drag these reels have....Not Daiwa, Shimano,Pfleuger, BPS,Extremes,Quantums..etc.etc.etc.

This reel in this ratio has a 24# Drag, twice as much as any competitor on the market today
It was developed with Braided lines in mind and the SS worm gear matted to Virgin Solid Brass Gears----------son a Quantum KVD 600CX has 18# and you can bring up the Kitchen sink with it----------With the Revo you can salvage ship wrecks........Oh and did I mention
Exterior Braking and 11 Shielded SS Bearings, Aluminum Body/side plates and a Titanium Nitrade Guide system w/wiffle spool.....................$149.99

Keep the Rod Tip up and the Hook Sharp
