Mike, I have a bunch of (BPS) Johnny Morris reels that need to be cleaned and oiled :help:. I normally do this myself. But.....heres the reel question.
How do you get the damn reel handle of the reels??? ~xyz They have no nut to take off like most normal reels. I need some reel help  :surrender:
They also need new worm gear thingys...sorry to many  ~beer~
What kind of pricing are you getting on the reel cleaning?

Those handles are different! Wrap your hand around the reel and pull the star drag towards the reel, then spin the handle backwards and it will spin right off  ;)

$17.50 for a full tear down & inspection, cleaning, lubrication. Plus parts and Shipping, but you being local there wouldn't be any shipping.

How bad are the worm gears? Do you just need a new pawl or will you need the gear it's self too? If it is causing problems you should probably go with both as the pawl damages the gear and it will completely fail before long anyway.

What's the model number of your Johny Morris's they have made quite a few, I can get a price for you ;)

They just need the line guide pawl. I have about 3 or 4 I need to get cleaned and replace the pawl. I just dont have the time anymore. The worm gear should be ok. They are up to 3 years old. Will get with you and get them to ya. Thanks Russ
