I've had a chance to give two of three I recently purchased a good testing now and I'm really satisfied and impressed. Went with three of the CI200D. Glad I did now. The CI's have the wiffled spool which make them a bit lighter than the standard 200D. I was also worried that the larger reel might be more than I could use for light end tackle, I'd never owned a wide spool baitcaster before. I was wrong again. Most all my casting is done with 1/8 to 3/8 oz. stuff with more being in the 1/8 to 1/4 range......weightless plastics, light cranks and topwaters, and spinnerbaits. With just the factory setting on the brakes, which was two brakes on and the rest off, I was throwing most of my basscatchim with only the occasional overrun even in some pretty strong winds. Day before yesterday I set one of the reels with every other brake turned on for a total of three on - three off. Went out to one of my honey hole ponds and was throwing a weightless Zoom 6" lizard rigged on a 2/0 O'Shaughnessy hook about 40 feet into a 10 mph wind with no backlashes. Also threw a 1/4 oz. beetle spin and got even more distance and still no backlash.
The Citicas are ultra smooth and ultra quiet too. The brakes are super simple to adjust with the easy access side plate. The tension adjustment knobs have an audible click that you can feel also and are not temperamental about exacting the setting like my Abu Garcia 4600 and 5500 reels are. These are some fine reels for the cost.
Just thought I'd let you guys know..........I'm becoming a Shimano man. Picked up a used green Curado 200B from another forum and should have it in my hands soon. It'll be interesting to do some comparisons.

Those new Citicas are very nice, I love mine. You will love the green curado also.

I have ten of the Curado D reels and needed a couple more. This time I tried the new Citica CI200D. it is really a good reel and  I can't really see why the Curado  is costing that much more.

They feel like the old green Curado.

citaca 200d was the first baitcaster i ever bought and i love it to death...you will notice the difference in the curado...but i dont know if its quite worth the extra 75$ or whatever it is when the citaca works as well as it does........

one thing that i really like on the curado a lot more than the citaca is the power handle....its really nice for gettin those fish turned and back to the boat fast....and it is a tiny bit smoother but to be honest i would be comfortable with either in my hands
"the vibrashock?.....its like crack for fish"

My old man got a Citica like 8 years ago and it still runs like a dream. I learned how to use a baitcaster with it and I was defiantly sold. I wouldn't mind adding one to my toolbox.
