I've decided to get Seaguar 15lb test line for 5 baitcasters. Each box holds 200 yards and 1000 yards for bulk. I would save 20 dollars if I go with bulk but, like to know if the bigger the spool the weaker breaking strength it is than the 200 yard boxes? I'm kinda on fence on which way I should go.

I don't see were the amount on the spool would weaken the line. :-\

Not sure why you would think that, but I would think not. If the bulk sppol will save that much, I think that is a fairly good deal.
ARX - IB's Daughter on BC Reels:
"Papi! I like this reel. It is so much easier to use than the other one (the spinning reel) and it is more fun to use too." Now all I can say to that is this;
"That's my little girl!"

i would look at too that you can go to a store and buy 2 boxes of the same line and one might be a bad lot or batch, if you buy in bulk and get that (tho slim chance) you stuck with a whole lotta line

i know i bought a second hand spool that he didnt say was not the best line,  i did give it another go tho and bought a smaller spool (box) and it worked tons better

  ~cf   Bandit are you talking about the line weakening over time while it is still on the spool ? That is something I have wondered about too.
I don't mind not knowing all the answers, but I keep forgeting the danged questions.

Go with the bulk spools IF you are going to use them up over 12 to 18 months.  There is a shelf life on mono and fluoro lines.  Plus, where you store the spools when not in use will also be a factor.  It should be in a cool, dry, place away from direct sunlight.

Something I found out the hard way is some fumes will cause some lines like Big Game to deterioate faster then normal too.  I lost several bulk spools I had stored in a brand new plastic enclosed box.  Sent the line into Berkley and they told me this.  So back to keeping all line in my trusty old card board box.

def the bulk stack.......especially cause it saves that much money

Well, I've made a decision to go with boxes for 5 baitcasters so I can put 2 different pound test line on em.

Thanks for the suggestion.
