I know alot of people rag on this little boat, and I asked alot of questions about it before I bought mine, but I love this thing. If there's anyone on the fence about whether or not to buy a 640 (maybe you think it's not tournament worthy??) this is a great little rig, and it can be a tournament tool just like bigger boats.

So lets have a look at the 640's out there. And if you've thought of anything clever to make it more "fishable", post up a picture!

Here's my boat

I installed a 12v outlet

I've velcroed my cull board next to the console. Keeps it out of the way, and I just have a seat and write in the weight. No need for a culling/balance beam.

Bought and installed an LMS-522ci GPS and a RAM mount

Installed a keel guard and a bow guard (bow guard came free with the keel guard...free is good!)

Bought a pedestal seat to make operating the TM easier. Clipped on a caddy so my pliers/spray/clippers are at hand.

Lets see em!  ~cf

She sure looks good!  ~shade ;) What size motor did she come with?
You sure have her fixed up nice. The smaller rides are good for getting into tight places, Creeks and shallow water that opens back up. hard to maneuver a 20 ft'er around in a 10' wide creek mouth. But they do have us on open water with a smoother ride in rough waters.

I don't own a 640 mine is just a tad bigger, 700DCLX

I've got a 60 on it. It's doing 41 MPH (GPS) with 3/4 tank of fuel.

I love your 640, you have done a lot of work setting it up; great job   ~c~

I'm in a 929 CDX right now but had a 1999 640, it was my 1st bass boat.  Not that that was all that long ago I'm on my 2nd now.   lo

I did worry about going big and not being able to get where I love to fish with the larger boat, however Nitro has a shallow draft and it is only a few inches wider so as long as I can get between the trees I can fish it.  I do agree narrow creeks can be a bitch    lo

Anyway not to get off topic I'll see if I can find a few photos of  my old 640

Kitz

Yeah, I've got the 46. I hate the rack and pinion steering. I wanna get a Maxxum 55...soon as I have a bit more $$$

no kidding?  41 with a 60 is pretty good I think...specially when these things are rated for 90hp...would think they'd 'go' pretty quick with that bigger unit...(not like 41 isn't already 'pretty quick'  ;D)

Kitz

Nah, 41 is plenty quick for me for now. I might trade it up one day, but I'm happy with the rig (except the TM...just can't stand the rack and pinion steering!) I catch plenty of fish in it
