i want to get into pouring plastics  i know delmart makes good molds i am looking at some right now how do you get the plastic and how do you make it liquidy to pour do you have to dye the plastic and where do i get all these supplys

you can get everything you need at Del's.  look for a melting pot, those are less mess.  Get a 2 part mold.  i tried the home made one piece mold and it was a pain in the arse and i had to trim each individual worm, the whole way around the worm.  you can get the plastic from Del also, along with the dye's, glitter, pearl powder, flake and scent.  its a one stop shop in my eyes and their support is unprecedented.  you can call them anytime and they will help you out.  now, the pot will keep your plastic heated to the right temp, but if you don't want the pot, you can get some pyrex measuring cups (no the wifes) and use the microwave or you can get a pan and use an open flame.....the temp really makes or breaks the plastic.  the pot is designed to take that worry away from pouring.  you can burn this stuff fast.

Some other suppliers are Bears Baits, Lure Craft, and Jann's Netcraft.  You can buy a starter kit for 40 to 50 bucks to see if you want to do it.  But beware the lure making monkey is older, wiser, and stronger than the bait monkey.   :)

bobstackleshack is another good mold place.  I've got a couple of his.  Great molds.

Jav,  what did you do wrong on your molds, or maybe it was teh bait?  I have several plaster molds and they pour great.  Only time I trim is on over pours.

Those are aluminum molds. You'll want plastic or rubber starting out. Look here and here.

Most of these molds in two piece in worm type or long tail type you will need an injecter machine. Or you have to pour the tail, close the mold, then pour the worm.  Most longer worm/tail molds a hand pourer will have to go with one piece.  Look at lurecraft and get a silicone mold.  They are about 10 bucks and look like zoom mag 2 worms kind of.
