Where do we stand on a count as far as currently signed up participants? I know there will more than likely be several if not many boats that register for the open the morning of the tournament, but I wanted to get an idea of where we stand now as far as confirmed boats.

Today while on the way to North East for an appointment I stopped by Tydings this morning and placed a flier on the lone bass boat trailer/truck that I saw in the parking lot. Keep in mind that some people have trailers that go bad so they are forced to buy a different/unmarked brand of trailer for their bass boat like myself. I can usually tell by the bunk set-up on the trailer whether it is for a bass boat hull or another type of boat.

Regardless, just wanted to put the word out that I put out another flier and will be able to try again tomorrow on my way to Cecil county as well. You can't tell me I'm not trying. ~shade ~roflmao

Decided that I would swing by Tydings again today on my way back from Cecil county and I must say it was a good decision (well hopefully). I put out another 11 fliers on several vehicles that were there! ~bb I came up one short so I had to debate on which vehicle to put the last one on. lo

I'm just hoping that out of the 12 that I put out at Tydings between yesterday and today that at least 2-3 will come out for the Tx. ~c~ I already know Ellis and Ellis would be there... when are they not? lo ~shade

Thanks for the effort Hammy.  I contacted an on-line lure company and they may be willing to make a donation for the open.  Just waiting to hear back from them again for confirmation.

Can we get a numbers update on how many are signed up?

tdt91

We currently have 3 signed up. This is about normal, 5 signed up would be on the high side. I expect this to be a good turnout. With the fliers you all have been putting out and the ones Mark & I did this past saturday we should be golden. I would like to know if Josh S. has put out all his fliers at Anchor. I think we should get some put out this weekend as well. Any volunteers? Bill A., Mark & I will have Dundee covered on Saturday. Joppatowne, HdG, and Anchor in NE would be nice to get fliers out this weekend.

I won't know exactly what the prizes are until they arrive, but I will be sure to bring them to the meeting we have on 5/21. ~c~

Good! ~c~ What is the average and what is the highest number of boats we have ever had at the spring open? I just want to see if we can break the highest number we ever had! YOU CAN DO IT! ~c~

Have Ellis/Ellis registered yet? lo Those guys fish every open and do damage too! ;)

i called Darrell last week and sent him an entry form. He says he'll be there. If memory serves me right I think 42 is the best we have ever done. That was many moons ago, way before all the other team circuits and opens. Proly 13-14 years go, when some you guys were in elementry school and dreaming about your 24 YO teacher with the big bamboosals. haha.  30 boats these days is a very good turnout. Look at Anglers Choice and the rest of the local stuff. Even the MBFN tnx this weekend has only 31 boats. Low to mid 20s is a good average.

Great Chuck, we would love to see you there. Please let me know at the table you are 5bigfish. I know some other guys that are coming as well. Its gonna be a good one. Spawn and post spawn patterns. Six fish limit should get to 21-22 pounds.

I just got the prize package in the mail today and will try to remember to bring things with me Thursday to the meeting. They sent four items which will be nice to give away this weekend.

On a side note I just hope I can get some fish in the boat because I haven't had much time to fish since the Potomac. :(
