Zebra stripes on screen

Came in from the kitchen and saw this on my laptop

Restarted it and they are gone. Any ideas here?

Might be about to lose your video card? I've never seen that before though.

Don't say that!!! I have about a month or so before a new laptop and need all the artwork I have on here. #1 Purchase Laptop, #2 External hard drive

Start saving it to something else... I could be way off base. Laurie and I go through a computer a year and it never fails once something odd starts happening there are only a couple more boot ups left....

Are you saying you do not have all that artwork saved somewhere besides a laptop?

Go get one of those 16 GB thumb drives and back everything up...

I'm not that computer savy, but I can tell you I have 26 mb of artwork on file right now..... couldn't I email it from 1 account to another and it will stay in the email

Okay, here is what I just did. Compressed both my folders and saved them both to a 8g sd card for now. That should give me some comfort..... for now

In instances like this please consider using dropbox or amazononline to save your data to an internet based hard drive. These folks give out a good chunk of free disk that you can use as if it was a real hard disk.

Well I got that all set up, thank you very much!

Seems it may be my video chip going bad. In which case it can not be replaced. Oh dear laptop hang in there for another month please! I have a show coming up!!!

It saved my rear when my laptop was stolen, all my important data was sitting waiting for me when I re installed dropbox on my new laptp.
