I have a 2008 20I with a 250 Series 2 Yamaha. Last year I could hit 74MPH however I was running Trim Extenders. Big mistake wore out bushings and caused a mess. Now without the trim extenders I can only hit 68MPH. Any Ideas on where the Jack Plate should be (number of holes)? I have also contemplated removing wedge spacers that came stock with the set up. Another thought was replacing the 25T1. All imput would be appreaciated.

Did the extenders come with the orginal set up?  Just curious why the spacers in the orginal setup?

Also what kind of RPM's are you pushing with the 25, what's your hole shot like, it should  be outstanding.

The extenders did not come with the original set up however the wedges did.  I added the trim extenders because of my experiance with Mercury, I added them and they really improved performance.  Right now I can only get about 5700 RPM's and I believe I should be at 6000 however the hole shot is great.

I have the same rig and 57 is the norm.  I am seeing about 69.5 w/ people, gear, and full of fuel.  72.5 wit 1 person and light load wit low humidity.
