I got a new Abu Vendetta the other day and was wondering what applications it would best be served for.  The rods specs are: 7'3 MH (power) M (action)  1/4oz - 1oz (lure weight) 12 - 20 (line test)  I had initially thought of using it for worms and jigs, but missed a couple of fish on the hook up from what I thought was too soft of a tip.  That being said, I was thinking this would be a good rod for cranks and jerkbaits.

If anyone has any experience with this rod I'd love to know what you use it for.

Thanks,

PondBoss

The early bird may indeed get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese

It would definitely make a good deep crankin rod. Wouldn't be first choice for jerkbaits, as I like a shorter rod for em, but to each his own.
Good Fishing, and God bless

I bought a MH 6.6 spinning rod (Vendetta) last Sat, I did not like it sensitivity was not up to my liking on the water. Took it back to BPS and exchanged it for a Diawa Pro Z.

Gonna hit the water this Sat and will post feedback if anyone is interested?

How did you like the Pro-Z I almost bought one, but got my Vendetta instead.  I was thinking about picking one up at a later date if they are good.  Thanks

Pondbass u made a good choice with the vendetta i got one n love it.. Mines 7ft medium heavy fast action i like it for texas rigging and jigs.. Since urs is a moderate action i'd think it would be suited nice for a deep cranking rod..

Is a good rod I would rate it a B, or 4 stars,  they could improve the guides some and the handle.

Casts well and I like it much more than the Vendetta I returned.

What didn't you like about the guides or the handle?  Does it come with a T-rig hook holder?

Handle: My thumb rests on the threads slightly takes a bit to get used to.

Guides: not an issue with function but visual quality is not Fugi level.

Don't take it wrong: I would buy the rod again.

It comes with a 5 year warranty which ain't bad.

PS: it does have a hook holder

Brands aside, I use M action rods for cranking only.  Not so good at cranking yet so I don't have many M action rods in my arsenal.  Most other applications lend for fast or even Xfast actions.  Good luck.
