Ok everyone here is the deal.  I get home from Iraq sooner than expected.  Going to purchase a new Bass Tracker 190TX when I get home.(hopefully the 2011 models that are close to my house are still there)
I already know that I am going to purchase a Hummingbird 798ci HD SI Combo first thing and mount it on a RAM at the console.

Here is the decision I need to make.  The boat comes with a Motorguide 12v trolling motor.  I am pretty sure I want to go to 24v though.  I have the money to either get a lower end 24v Motorguide and a power-pole or Talon.  Or I have the money to get a Fortrex or Maxxum.

I am leaning towards the Motorguide Pro Series 24v with 70lbs from BPS (wouldn't have to rewire as a bonus) and a Talon.  I can afford this, but not much more.  Can you see flaws in this plan?  I know of course everyone has personal preference and so forth, just looking to get some view points.
Thanks.

Had a HB798 si liked it a lot, but I would hold off on the HP and go for a Fortrex 82 first. You will use the TM every time you fish all day long no mater what conditions you run into, so you need the best you can get and for my money the Fortrex Is #1. Even  in a 19 ft al boat you are going to fight wind more than a fiberglass and need a good powerful tm. Adding a power pole and a SI fish finder is not a big job, and after you use the boat a while you will have a better idea about a pole and SI. Many like the Lowrance and some the HB. I have had both and they both make a good product, have 2 Lowrance hDs-5 on my boat now. Had hb 798 si before the HB products are easier to use in than the controls are a more logical to use than the Lowrance. What are you going to use at the bow is also important.

I agree with Jim, go with the Fortrex first. You can easily upgrade the other stuff later.

BTW-Thanks for your service! ~c~

I already know the Humminbird is going on it. I played with one right before I left and I've had nothing but Humminbirds in past boats, and see no reason to change.

So I should not worry about a shallow water anchor and go with the Fortrex it seems.  The more reading I do, the more I hear how awesome this TM is.

I would get the Fortrex trolling motor first.  I bought one last Spring and it I love it.  It moves my 19ft Stratos around with little to no problem.  Well worth the cost.

Thanks for the replys guys.  I can't tell you how excited I am to finally be getting back on the water.  I have had access to a bass boat since I was 5 until I was 25.  I am 32 now and absolutely can't wait to get on the river.  Keep an eye on the Tracker forum I'll post pics when I get it and as I upgrade it into a proper fishing machine.
What is going to be fun is breaking in that motor in Feb in Virginia.
