Ok, so who insures your tournament rig, what kind of rig, and ballpark on what you pay?

Not sure if I posted on the right board so my apologies in advance, and thanks for your time...

Liability is cheap.. I pay 4.00 per month.. Now my boat is a little older than most.  I have a 1998 16'9" charger with a yamaha 115.  Full coverage is around 15 per month.  For a newer boat it couldn't be much more.

My rig is an '01 Skeeter ZX 225 w/ Yamaha VMAX 225 purchase price=14K

The quotes I am getting for Liability+Physical Damage have ranged from $850/yr to $450/yr

I have clean driving record and boating experience...

Total replacement will run you abit more but it's worth it. Basically your policy don't depreciate with your boat. My boat is a '95 model and it cost me $16 a month for total replacement. Now I have a friend that just bought a brand new 19 foot Skeeter and his insurance is running him around $400 a year which isn't bad.

i have an even older boat lo 1981 Venture and total replacement runs me i think about 13 bucks a month

I'm through Shelter with an '06 Legend 21'. Loss, liability, full coverage boat, motor trailer, $100000 liability at that runs $51 a month. That's with $250 deductible. There's property loss on there too. Just don't know all the details off hand. I'm fully covered for loss, damage and theft.

I am insured through Progressive Total yearly policy cost me $295 for 100, 000 Liability plus a 7000 personal property to cover electronics and gear.  Total replacement of one year newer equivalant boat if its a complete loss. really happy with them. They also cover fiberglass repair and lower unit repair if i sheer of the lower unit. Many more good things in the policy and you can adjust to fit your needs.  My boat was bought new 2010 Nitro X-5 21000.  there is some theft coverage as well.

Yeah my insurance is through USAA but progressive is the carrier.  I believe USAA and Progressive have something worked out.  may be different now but thats how it was a year ago.
