Looks like we may have to pick another location for our second tournament in February. I just spoke with officals at the Cane River Water district (or whatever it's called.) and they told me all the launches are close right now and will be until the river levels come up to a desirable level. She also told me in order to have a tournament there you have to put them on your club insurance. This presents a problem because one we don't have any and two I don't see us going out and purchasing insurance to fish a tournament there. They are sending me some paper work and I will look it over and bring it to the next meeting.

Not only that but you have to have a represenative go to the previous months' meeting at the waterway athourity.

If you'll let me know I can go to the meeting for you......

Jared LeBlue

Man that's just not right. I can see if the tournament is going to be one of these big tournaments with hundred of people fishing but a small club tournament, that's crazy.

at club level I would just have the tournament and call it a get together  :-*

Yeah we could do that and weigh in off site but that's just alot of crap, not to metion we don't know if a launch will be opened by then.

I know of a person who has a 2 acre yard for your get together if you need....

Thank's Chris. We going to have to talk about it at the next meeting. With the launches being closed we will probably pick another lake instead of chancing it.

Zuk and myself were talking and we figured Grand Bayou might be a good replacement.  It's only 30 minutes further than Cane River and we know they've  got quality fish there.

Yep, that sounds good. We can discuss it tomorrow at the meeting.
