I took AOY for my district and get to fish Hudson Lake for a shot at a boat. We get one day of prefish, the day before the tournament. So any and all information I can get on where to start to make the lake a little smaller will be a huge help!!!

The tournament is the end of October. So can I expect a shad migration? What kind of water temps are normal, is it normally full or low, how low? What will the water clarity be like? Tons of general questions? Any help, no matter how small it might seem will make catching them quicker.

How much weight will it take to win? What's the primary forage?

Never been there so I'm looking for sections of the lake and general patterns that will work in October.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. I live and breathe the Red River in Louisiana and will gladly trade info on it or any other body of water here.

If you don't want info out there for the world to see send me a PM or email at [Please enable JavaScript to see this content]

BTW, if I can find some extra gas money I'm going to try and visit Lake Hudson before the July 22 cut off.

The last few tournys, in the last week. They have had 30 to 40 boats and it has been taking about 15 lbs to win and 11 or so to get a check.  I will try to get you some more information.

Thank You sir. I'm hoping to get up there, not this weekend but the next. It will be mostly a survey trip to look at the water but of course you can't travel that far without wetting a line.

Any kind of generic patterns will help tremendously. Hell knowing if I should concentrate on the north or south end can really save a bunch of time. :-*

The survey trip didn't happen :'(

So anyone that can help with some basic or detailed info would be greatly appreciated. I've surfed and surfed the internet and there just isn't much out there on this lake? I know it gets fished but no one talks about it much :'(

Any help? I can trade Red River info :-*
