Just wondering how many guys in here are running Phoenix boats? Maybe we can get a thread going on here.
I have a 619 with a 200 SHO and love it. Stilll getting it dialed in, very happy with performance just trying to hit 70. Not sure why, I can run 65 to 66 and take my hands off the wheel. If I try to get more, I have to drive it.
I love the layout and storage, love how it turns. Boat feels like its on rails. My only dislike, is the rod lockers. I have to use rod socks or its hard to get rods in and out. IMHO, all boat companies try to put too many slots in. I would rather have fewer slots but easier to get in and out. Just my two cents on that.
Anyway lets hear from other Phoenix guys and hear your thoughts.

We do have a couple Phoenix owners. I know Ron Fogelson was looking at the hard and may be an owner one day. Looking forward to seeing this thread take off :-*

I fell in love with this boat in 2009, the set up and storage, attention to detail and options are fantastic.

They are everywhere by my house, seems thats what everyone is buying this last couple years, Great boats love the layouts and how they drive and fish. I have a couple buddies that have the 721s and one buddy just trading in his (2011) 721 for the New 920. Not sure if any of them are members here but i will ask them when i get back home from work and see.

I'd also add they have great customer service. My boat had a spot in the paint on the very bottom. I guess from a bead of sweat. Most people would not worry about it but I called. They asked if I'd home the next day. I thought for the rep to stop and look. When he got there he said can I take it? I guess I said. Two days later be called and brought it back fixed and detailed.

I fished with Dan at last brook stix, and must say it is a great boat for a back seat partner, liked side rod layout. It was plenty fast enought did not look at speedo, but know we were doing well over 60 all the time.

I have the 618 Pro and love it. It fishes like a 19 footer and you hang a 175 hp motor on the back and it will scream for an 18 footer. I have a 150 on the back of mine and it'll hit 62mph all day long. Hit 64 in the winter when the humitity is low.

danisfish

Which prop you running? Those are great numbers. I almost got a 618. They are great boats.

A buddy of mine just bought a 721, all I can say is wow. Very nice boat, very fast with the 250 SHO. told my wife I wanted to upgrade to a 721 she just shook her head and said get over it.

Great looking boats!!! The Elite pro here in town J Todd Tucker fishes out of a Phoenix with a Mercury not sure what model he has but it is a very nice boat and laid out great too.

I know this post is a little old, but I'm curious if anyone who has been in a 721 felt like the front deck was a little small? I really like the layout of these boats and from what I've read the ride is good. Also if their compartments are really the driest around that's a big plus. The 920 is probably too new to be in my budget is the reason im asking.

I personally like the ride of the larger skeeters and hear the legends are at least that good how about the Phoenix? I don't like the older looking switch panel or the dash, but really I just want that stuff to work so it's not a deal breaker. Also the color schemes and graphics might take some getting used to, but again not a deal breaker and its one of those things that could grow on me.

Riding in a Phoenix and riding in a Skeeter are two completely different animals.  There is no comparison.  Skeeter makes a fine boat but the ride is at best, so so.  Color schemes on the Phoenix are endless.  You custom order every single aspect of these boats.  I have a 2015 618 Pro with a 175 Pro XS and I previously had a Champion 187 with a Yami 175 vmax.  The Champ was a fine ride and the Phoenix is similar but in some way the Phoenix is smoother.  It drives easier and yet still handles the chop nicely.  I could barely fit my tackle in the champion and In the 618 I now have enough room for 3 peoples tackle and then some.  The storage is second to none on Phoenix.  I cant help you with the 721 but from what I gather the larger phoenix boats are top notch.

I ordered a 2015 819 pro with 200 pro XS before christmas. Dual console, 112 MK fortrex and tandem trailer. It should be built around the middle of Feb and delivered hopefully early March. I can't wait to experience this boat on the water!

I went with black and silver. here is a link to a boat with similar colors

Congratulations on the new boat.  I am sure you will be one happy angler.

thanks bud. these next 2 months are going to be so hard to get through. I have all my tackle and rods and reels out of the old boat and in the house, taking inventory. trying to keep my mind busy.

What is the status on getting Phoenix boats there own section on UB these days?

I've been in my 721 almost two years, no complaints.  The front deck is narrower than the 900 series but it has not been a problem.  The 721 takes a little more driver input than the 920/921 when she starts to chine walk, but it is a legitimate low 70's boat and handles like a sportscar.  I have had two back surgeries and do not get beat up at all in my boat, handles rough water on Toledo and Rayburn with no problem.  I did get water in the front compartment one time, it was in a frickin monsoon driving home from the lake, not a big deal to me.  I was at the Houston Boat Show the last two weekends, and the interest in Phoenix boats is out there.  I may sell mine to go to a 921 down the road when the grandson is a little bigger and I can use the extra room, until then I am going to drive it like I stole it!  Holler if you have any questions.

I used to own a 2012 ZX 200 and now a 2015 721 PRO XP and he isn't smoking anything it will take rough water better. The skeeter took it good but not as good as the 721.
