Todd and Bryan have been with Broke Sticks from the start. Heck, Todd helped me come up with the idea. It would be nice if you made sure he was taken care of with the dates.

Not at all. I've enjoyed fishing that lake this year.

Beagle

Hahahaha, I know. Just pickin at ya. Really though, the dates dont really effect those with most weekends off. Todd, Bryan and a few others do shift work and it would be nice if the schedule were friendly for them.

Todd

I will probably fish most of what I fish solo. I don't know if Bryan is fishing or not. My son might tag along with me some but he is still kinda young for a all day tourny. If the TNT's fall right, I may jump back in them.

If we kept records since the club started I believe he has the biggest bass ever caught since the broke sticks started. What was it Todd 12lbs on the river?

Beagle

Yep, it was just a hair under 12lbs. Hey Todd, dont forget Bayou is having thusrday tournaments opposite TNTs. And there is a new river evenings on the river.

Now this is just an idea, what about changing the weigh in time during the hot months to 1 or 2?

oldjim

I put some dates together.

January Red River -26
February Bistineau-16
March Grand Bayou-23
April Black Bayou Hosston-20
May Caddo Lake-18
June Claiborne-15
July Cypress Black Bayou night tournament-13
Sept championship tba-7
None of these dates conflict with poormans and only one conflicts with ABA and it is on a different lake. They also do not conflict with work schedules that I have seen posted.
What are thoughts on these dates :-\
Oldjim

Ron Fogelson

Those look good Jim, the only date that might be an issue is 7 Sep but if we vote in Grand Bayou again it won't be.

oldjim

H&W schedule just out and several colflicts with my proposed dates starting in Jan.

Ron, wasn't sure if you wanted a date for Sept feel free to change any of them, just trying to avoid oblious conflicts, but just not enought Sat. in a month ~roflmao.

Jim I went back and looked at the dates Todd posted and most didn't work with the dates you had.

I know we won't ever be able to pick the perfect dates for each member but as Todd was one of the founders of Broke Sticks I want to make sure he can at least make most of the events.  I talked with Paul and he intends on fishing them as well so it just would be nice to have the two that created the club be able to fish in the club  :-*

So here is the new dates as long as most of Broke Sticks can make it.

January Claiborne-19
February Bistineau-16
March Grand Bayou-16
April Black Bayou Hosston-27
May Caddo Lake-25
June Red River-22
July Cypress Black Bayou night tournament-20
Sept championship tba-7th

oldjim

Boy missed that up thought those were his work dates :-\ ~b~

Todd

I appreciate all trying to accomodate my schedule. Like I said whatever works best for the club. As for Claiborne, I have lots of homework to do!! To answer your question Beagle, that fish weighed 11.15. Ready to catch another pig like that!!

jacob

Hey I'm thinking of joining y'alls club but only if the dates were at the beginning of each month. Is the schedule that Ron posted an official schedule but the dates are still up in the air? Excited to join, just wanting to know the official schedule and dates.

Ron Fogelson

Hi Jacob  the locations & dates below is the plan for 2013

Yep, about a drop of water from 12. heck, if i remember correct, it took awhile for them to put it on the official scale.

Lawguy513

I am hoping to fish with y'all, but the first three are bad dates for me.

Ron, After seeing your pictures of Bist are there any thoughts of moving that tourney?

Ron Fogelson

Yes, I'll keep an eye on it and we will move it if it's still nasty,,,,, we have a bit over a month to go so who knows now what it will look at but I would want anyone to have to fish in that crap  ~rant

frogtroller

just out of curiosity, with the "open" tourney on Claiborne, is there any way we could have a second "open" tourney on a more centrally located lake?

I know the schedule has been discussed for some time but i've heard from several people I work with or know that would like to join but have no interest in Claiborne. Either too far, which i understand, gin clear water, or they thought Broke Sticks was a bass club not a crappie club  lo. hell, one guy told me he couldn't fish there because his depth finder didn't go that deep. ~roflmao

i'm still in good standing (at least at the time of this post) and can't fish the open any way but was thinking if we can get more members, maybe the later tourneys we'll have more than five boats show up.
Watch out for stumps, they wake me up!!
