Rally Recruitment Starts in July

Time to get the band back together and get ready to start posting flyers for the Rally.  I will make a post just after the 4th of July holiday and they will be available to print and pass around at your local tackle shops.  We are expecting a record turn out this year.  Launch will still be at Beatties Ford and a BBQ lunch will be served in the Pavillion after the weigh in.  We will be needing some volunteers to help with the Weigh In, and to run the big fish pot.  We will also need someone to be the official starter to get the boats launched and to check them in upon their return.  We will need at least two people to help with registration and entry fee collection at the Ramp.  Those of you who wish to volunteer please send a note to Boots so he can get things arranged.  Launch will be at Safe Light (about 7:30 AM)  The Rally tournament will be held from safe light till 2PM with weigh in beginning at 2:15  PM. Prizes and payouts will also be handed out after the BBQ Lunch.  We will be making another Rally Banner and this year we will be adding the Local Merchants who help us out each year but are not UB Sponsors.  UB Sponsors will also be indicated on the banner and as always we will be soliciting donations from all of the sponsors and vendors.  We want to give away gift certificates instead of merchandise if at all possible.  Rangerman has obtained the permits, reserved the pavilion and made arrangements for the lunch.  We may have up to 100 teams this year.  Price will be $50.00 per boat if you pre register and $60.00 per boat if you register at the Ramp.  Optional big fish pot will be $5.00 per boat  We will not be offering any single person pricing this year.  OK Guys lets get ready to Rally.  This is a family event and all are welcome.
