Skunked.

Took my son out yesterday after work to check out lake Hefner. Hit all 3 fishing peers and joining areas. Its pretty crowded on the weekend and yesterday was no different. Guys with 6-10 poles each. Unless you are fishing for cats, you're going to spend most of your time dodging line.

Water was clear for Hefner's standards. Water level is still above normal.

Ran Jigs in Brown, Black/Blue and green dragging, hopping and swimming with no luck. Did see some activity from bait fish though. Topwater and jerkbaits produced nothing as well.

Today I think we are going to to hit the damn on the north end of the lake provided the wind is calm.

Thanks Lip.

Ya, It can get pretty croweded with the "bucket brigade" there. Sadly, one must travel to find good fish in this state. Makes me miss Kansas even more

Water is more clear too. I have plenty of spots back home too, it's just getting back home. I was raised there for 27 years, so I know a few places lo

My days off are changing in two weeks. I will definitely be making some road trips

There's no place like home  ;D
