Welcome back all current and new members to the most enjoyable club I have ever fished.  Our first tournament will be on Martin Creek this Sunday Jan 31.  The weather calls for a high of 72 degrees (bring your shorts) with winds out of the south southwest at 10-20 mph.  Very Little chance for rain.  Safelight will be approximately 6:43am.  We will launch about that time depending on fog and other tournament launches. I am shooting to be at the launch by 530am to start taking money and signing up members.

Being that this is the first tournament of the year remember that club dues are to be turned in at this tournament.  Club dues are $20 for the year plus another Optional big Bass of the year $5 per person. That's $50 per team. (Remember if one team member enters big bass of the year the other member must also enter).  The normal tournament fee is $30 per team.  Please keep in mind I am not a bank and that I ask that you bring $50 even for the club fees per team or $25 correct change for the individual as I will be limited on what I can break.  Then also bring correct change for the tournament fee of $30.  This will help me make sure everything gets to the correct pot.  If you have any questions please feel free to message or text me at 318-423-0685.

Just want to make everyone aware Texas WLF agents and State Police will be checking your boats and trailers prior to entering Martin Creek. ENSURE your trailer is clean, ENSURE  your boat is clean. If you're not sure what's between the trailer boards and the boat, then take it to a clean boat ramp and check it. If they find even the smallest piece of Sylvania (dead or alive), you will receive a ticket up to $500. On a positive note, you won't have to deal with GS anywhere on the lake.
Please heed this warning and take the appropriate steps.

And while you're checking for GS it's also a good time to check your air pressure in your tires (don't forget the spare!) and check your hubs grease/oil level. Hate to see someone broke down on the  way there, or back! ;)

Chef Pablo put me down for two. Unfortunately Rhonda had a death in the family and is out of town. I will be gone next weekend for the spreading of his ashes over lake manshack.
