Is this on your 85 373 ?
I honestly don't know but will try to do some digging and find out if I can. Does your rear hatch lids have the wiring schematic on them ? Would be better if we could see how many wires it uses.
Stop by the Garage and let me know if you have Maintenance issues that you need assistance with.

yes my 85 ranger, unfortunately it does not have the diagram.
there are 7 studs total but some wires are double up in one stud. I tried to post a pic but error about did not pass security or something.

Yota, did you ever get this figured out? I think the answer is yes although I don't know for sure.

I replaced one many many years ago in a Glastron I restored. That one was in a Mercury control unit but I can't for the life of me remember much else about it. Be sure and let us know how it works.

Update, it fired right up  on the first try yes. What's weird is I don't have to put it in neutral in the forward position no more like before I had to. Wonder if because the switch was an oem and had deteriorated over the years causing this. Of course the back end broke off leading my to replace it. One thing though, ranger was no help even Sierra was no help (left them a message) no call back. Went ahead and pull the trigger and bought it and installed. I believe this switch will work for any wires connected to a 6 terminal switch. Mine had 8 total which 2 of the 4 was connected together. 2X back and 2x purple/pink. Somewhere in the question section someone also did a 10 wires to this terminal and it work. Hope this help for those needing to replace their key switch.
