The Celebration:

Hunters and anglers have been at the forefront of the conservation movement for over 100 years. They showed their support by requesting taxes and special fees on hunting and fishing equipment to help pay for wildlife and fish management, habitat restoration, and other conservation programs through the Federal Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration (WSFR) Program.

This year, we are also celebrating the 150th Anniversary of the Connecticut Bureau of Natural Resources.

Joining in the celebration are the Divisions of Wildlife, Inland Fisheries, Marine Fisheries, Forestry, and the Environmental Conservation (EnCon) Police, as well as many partners.

At this event you will have the opportunity to learn more about the history of the Bureau of Natural Resources and receive a 150th Anniversary reusable bag and plenty of fishing and hunting information.

Follow along with the celebration and learn more on our
