so i have the nicest reel i have ever owned coming in... its  a Alphas R. i plan on making it my "go too" rod for working ponds and my local lakes when i can. I'm looking for a rod to match i fish alot of small plastics and in line spinner baits and have been throwing the Ned rig ALOT and doing more finesee fishing. my budget is under 200 can you guys recommend a rod ? i have a E6X loomis for my spinning rig and love it so i'd like something at least as sensitive as it and i gotta have cork grips foam just doesnt feel right? does anybody make customs in that price range?

You could try a dobyns Sierra series sounds right up your alley.

St Croix Avid X would be a nice rod in that price range.

Make sure to take a look at the new Omen from 13 fishing. I've got two and and very impressed.

In my opinion sensitivity is in the hands of the user, many people rate the Avid rods the best value in the St. Croix line of rods if that helps.  What I can share is that the build quality is very very good and the rods are made here in the USA if that matters to you.   They use quality components  have a great warranty and their customer service is what you would expect from a premier rod manufacturer.  There are a lot of very good rods in your price range, but would certainly think that the Avid would have to be one to consider.

Agreed. I've had multiple St. Croix Triumph, Premier, Avid X, and Legend Tournament rods, and the Avid X (or Avid) was definitely my favorite. Just a great rod. I like the LT but it really didn't feel like it justified the expense over the Avid.
I've no experience with the board sponsor Dobyns (yet! :)) but hope to soon, since everyone I know who fishes them love them. Might look down that route, the Sierra or a used Champion.
I will add my vote to 13 Fishing Omen rods- I have 3 and believe they are no question the best value in a rod you can get (in my experience).
