Here's my Wally World haul-

<a href="

Four buck sunglasses, and JIMMY HOUSTON's too! They GOT to be good! Well, they're darn cheap "everyday" glasses, for sure. And there's the $1.50 DT-10.

The Berkleys were .75 for the Power Worms, and $1 for the Shakey Snakes... Never used them, but that's a pretty good price. And while takin' the pic just now I find that one of the packs of Power Worms is TEN-INCHERS. Must have been a mistake- all the Wal Marts around here carry the 7" version.

Okay. Doc Irv is pouring my next order right now. I need a little bit of fishin' line. Then come May I'll probably order some more of Doc's BIG worms. So, I'm pretty much done for the season. Yep.

Depends. If my friend can get me this particular reel for what I think he can, then yes. And, if thats the case, I will sell off the other reel.

New stuffs!!!

Got me some nutech jig heads and 3" roboworms for those days where a smaller profile works best.

Cranks I decided to try a few that are 0-3 feet so the bomber in 2 different sizes stood out.

The Rápala DT Fat swims at about a foot and is a bigger profile

The Mann's 1 minus I got cause I've heard people rave about them. Also shallow runners

The snaps for quick swaps.

Quite a bit of stuff and I sure as heck didn't need it all but the monkey got me and I wanted to try different brands to see which I preferred.

The Mann's 1 minus I can say beyond a doubt are stellar baits for me. They are one of my first crankbaits and one of my first "go to" baits. My father in law was always amazed how I could take a day where we both were getting skunked and turn it into a several catch day chunking one in Baby Bass color. I don't have a ton of them but I have the usual dark, light, bright, and natural color selection of them. Awesome baits.

1 minus and Baby 1 minus. Go-to's forever.

I've never had a problem with them. If you see them in stores looks at the back of the package. The ones marked "elite" have better hooks.

Mann's was using Eagle hooks on them. Mine were sticky sharp and with the right rod and mono never had a bent hook.

I haven't had a issue with the actual hook on the Baby but I didn't like that they would tangle more than I liked. So I swapped mine to a combination that helped a lot but I don't remember what combination I went with. I think a 6 and a 4 but don't recall the brand or style.  :( Mine are probably needing changed just from age at this point. I havent used them in almost a year.

They do say Eagle Claw hooks on them. I still haven't taken them out of the package. But I brought them with me for some testing today.
Yeah with mono I don't worry about bent hooks, more like do the fish stay hooked.

Depending on the trebles I will sometimes switch to the KVD Triplegrips. Yet to lose a fish on those things.
But I don't need to switch them if they work fine.

For example I refuse to use the hooks on a spook. I always swap those out after I bent the hooks on a 1lb fish (in their defense I was using braid on that one). I also lost several fish on them. Never again!

I hear you Rick and I just bought some Nu Tech Crappie jigs for my upcoming Crappie trip at the end of this month so I can put them to the test by throwing them up in some Christmas Trees and Rip Rap to see if I can get them hung up.  ~bb It's spots like that that we throw our regular 1/8 oz Crappie jigs close to but try to keep from getting right in them. Oh I also just bought another one of them Fatsack measuring rulers too.  ;D

I got a chance to try out some of my new toys yesterday.
Caught 2 dinks on the nutech, one with a small swimbait on it and the other with a ribbontail worm.
The roboworm on the nutech drew no bites.Neither did a texas rigged senko, so I am thinking the fish wanted the bait on the bottom and with a tail.
I did catch a 3rd dink on a trig and uvibe.

I also threw the Minus 1 and really liked it. It swims true out the box. I did have the hooks intertwine once on me. So I could see myself changing the hooks to avoid this. I just want to make sure I don't change the action.
The minus 1 got the attention of a dink that came over and bumped it but never ate it. No hookup.

I tried the Bomber A (the small one) and I did not like it out the box. The crank did not run true. I tweeked it and got it running right, but unlike the minus 1 it didn't go through the vegetation quite as well. I found that strange since the bill is square and bigger than the minus 1. It grabbed more stuff.
The minus 1 cranked through the stuff and picked up very little of it. A quick jerk of the rod and the bait was cleaned off. Not so with the bomber.

I just got in my Nu Tch Crappie Jigs that I just ordered and they didn't have the Black colored ones in stock. After I placed my order I received an email from Bo and said sorry but when he was filling the order he said we are also out of chartreuse heads.  if you will take red in place of those, i will send a couple extra for the trouble. I just got them in and can't wait to get out there and put them to the test by throwing them up in them Christmas Trees and Rip Rap to see if they will get hung up. They look great but the jury is still out on if they will make it back to the boat. I will do a full report after I test them at the end of the month.
