Well, I went to Sahoma lake this afternoon for about 2 hrs, and came up with zilch ~rant. The biggest reason I went was to try out the boat after putting another prop on it. the Cajun performed great! the holeshot on this thing is amazing for a 90 horse motor ;D. anyway, didn't get to open it up yet, cause I don't know the lake well enough yet, but I did get it up to 40mph and still had PLENTY of throttle left. all in all it was a good day. the wind was murder out there, with 40mph gusts, and the fish just weren't being very cooperative.

I am going out to either keystone or Heyburn in the morning to open the throttle up and see what my boat will do on the top end. and maybe get some fishin in if the wind calms down. ~gf

I'm goin in the morning to sahoma since it's so close. I found the main channel, so it shouldn't be a problem taking it to full throttle. Keystone and heyburn are going to be too crowded I think. I think I am going to try fishing the flats adjacent to the main channel, it seems like the spawn is still full on at Sahoma. A few bass were caught on a flat on the lower end of the lake still on their bed, one was a female that still had eggs.

It's supposed to be nice today. winds 10 - 15 mph from the west and 93 degrees. I think t-rigged lizards, tubes and senkos are going to be my baits of choice. I'll still try spinnerbaits and maybe a rogue for the more aggressive fish, but I think it's not going to be an easy day for bass.

As far as the boat is concerned, I think this boat will go 50 or 55 mph with the 90hp motor. I hope it goes faster, but untill I get a GPS reading on it, I won't know the exact speed. Man this boat runs like a scalded dog! I had a 18' champion that wouldn't go as fast as this one, even with a 115 on it! I'll keep ya updated on the boat, so far I'm happy with it. ;D ;D ;D
