I detest eating Salmon but my wife loves it. To make it palatable for me, I came up with a very simple but tasty sauce. The preparation time is under 5 minutes. I cook a small piece of Salmon for myself.

Ingredients

2 teaspoons of Dijon mustard
2 teaspoons of mayonnaise
1 teaspoons of real maple syrup

Mix together in a small bowl until creamy.
Spoon the sauce over the Salmon during the last 5 minutes of cooking. Any sauce that runs off the Salmon will mix with the Salmon fat. It is all good. The sauce can also be used over baked potato.

I'm with you Wiz but mother needs to add it to her diet which means I go to McDonalds or figure out how to eat it... gonna have to try this.  :-*

The sauce sounds great, I'll have to try it then give the salmon to the dog while the sauce goes on something else.

Same here never could get a taste for Salmon even the fresh one I caught up in Alaska. Might have to give this one a try next time I have some.

I've learned to eat it, my wife is like y'alls, she really enjoys it. We usually have it with a dill sauce. I do love it smoked though.

the big (thick) filets with the skin on are where I start.  basically grill them skin down until done.
slightly smoky notes.... I also brush it with a Good Seasons Italian Dressing (dry mix)made with basalmic vinegar

same kind of deal... sweetens it, some spice/garlic... little smoke from the grill

then the big deal:  the 'gray stuff' stays on the skin if you want to peel it off.  OR you can grill it till the skin is really crisp.

I have always liked salmon. Nutritionists say it's one of the better fish to eat.

I usually rub it down with butter, then add garlic and paprika and bake it. I'm gonna try your sauce next time Wiz. And I'll also try adding some parsley and peppers to it.  ;)
