Just finished up melting down a good bit of scrap plastics from last year and some baits I had that I'd never throw. There are 30 senkos in this pic, I poured probably another dozen afterwards and then 6 keitech style swimbaits. I also have more scraps from this run!

Absolutely! You need quite a bit of stuff; microwave, Pyrex measuring cup, lure mold of choice, injector, plastisol, infares thermometer gun, boilermaker gloves or anything high heat resistant, respirator. If inside you need a ventilation system.

How to:
Put on all safety gear
1. cut up any scrap plastics into small chunks and place into Pyrex
2. Coat with a small splash of fresh plastisol and mix
3. Slowly heat and stir, in 30 sec increments to 350*
4. Once at temp, pour liquid into injector and purge air
5. Shoot liquid into molds and allow a few secs to cool
6. Remove and trim plastic, place in cool water
Thats about it. There's plenty of YouTube videos. I'm thinking about making one myself!

Thank you! Me as well. I hate wasting them and especially hate seeing them on the banks and in the water. Also by doing this you kind of cut the cost of any bag of bait in half. And that my friend is a good excuse to keep in mind to tell the wife

If you really want to get started Do-It sells a nice kit to begin with. Comes with pretty much everything to make your own

It's a good money saving tactic. I need to get back to doing that.

Anyone tried something like this?

I have not, but after watching I think I may try that with some other baits!
