Temporary closure of Lincoln Park Pond in Port Angeles

Action: Temporarily close the Lincoln Park Pond to all fishing.

Effective date: April 1 through April 6, 2018.

Species affected: Hatchery rainbow trout.

Location: Lincoln Park, Port Angeles.

Reason for action: The annual kid's fishing derby is scheduled for Saturday, April 7. Closing the pond for the week prior to the derby will allow cleaning and preparing the area around the pond. It will also protect the trout to be planted as they acclimate during the week prior to the derby.

Information contact: Mike Gross, WDFW Fish Biologist, (360) 249-1210.
Enjoying retirement in the great Pacific Northwest.  I've turned into a fair weather angler.  Why do it today when I can do it tomorrow?
