This will be my 7th year in this tournament.

Tonight is the paring meeting where I will get to meet my disabled Vet partner.

Tomorrow I'm the boat captain and guide, then Sunday we fish as a team.

This is by far my favorite fishing weekend of the year. Spending two full days in a boat with the awesome attitudes these men have puts perspective back into my life that I can't get anywhere else.

I think it's awesome that you do this every year! Lots of respect!

I'm sure your vet is going to have a great time!

Lee, you were suppose to let me know when this was coming up. Good luck and hope the predicted winds aren't too bad.

I did the PVA Tournaments for two years back in the day with my Gambler. As you explained, it was a lot of fun with a Wounded Veteran. Evidently they changed the rules since then because ours was one day and the Boat Captain was not allowed to fish.
I am now getting involved with Heroes on the Water in Maryland. They do a couple of different things with fishing from shore and kayaks. I am also signed up for the Heroes on the Water in Virginia Tournament in August to volunteer. I actually qualify to participate but there are so many other Veterans out there that are much worse off than I am.
I hope you have fun and help that man catch some fish.

Sorry Barry, I forgot you were interested.

I found good fish in Goblets which is where we're going to start then when the wind and rain pick up we're headed to the power lines.

Good luck. I found the 2 weeks ago in isolated pads on the points.

Tough sledding today in a 30 mph wind. We found fish and my guy had a couple good ones on, but lost them in the thick snot we were having to fish in to get bit.

I knew the wind would be tough today. Tomorrow will be wet buy less windy. Good luck.

Fished the same spots as yesterday and boated 28 total verses 3 from yesterday.

Biggest 5 were good enough for 9th place with 12.11 lbs.

Congratulations on the great finish. I'm sure this will be a day he remembers often.
