Don't know much about this lake, has anyone been fishing it lately?

 :-[Mike I am a guide on this lake and fishing has been great with revenge jigs..PMS colored...Fish are from 40 to 80 feet...Yes 80...There are some slugs coming on reaction baits also...Caught a nine pounder on Thanksgiving...

John, Thanks for stopping in and give us an update. I have spend several years fishing the west coast and I know that it is not that uncommon to catch fish that deep, I have done it many times but usually prefer a spoon if they will hit it. Drop me an email, I would like to talk more about getting more folks to post reports on west coast lakes.

Malones is a good fishery. Starting to see some huge fish come out of there.

Fished Melones 2/23/08 Los Banos Bass club tournament fishin was real slow but but my partner managed to boat 5 keepers for a 12+ lb bag Drop Shotting. Many (including myself) were skunked, our boat won by 1lb.
