Lake Okeechobee & Surrounding Areas

I'd like to converse via email to anyone who lives near or around Lake Okeechobee.  Not really bass or even fishing related directly, I just have some questions regarding the water and ag systems that someone that lives in the area and been there for a while would know.

It's been 30 years since I lived there and had good, first hand knowledge of these things and I'd like to get caught up on some things.  I promise, no ambushes or BS., just want to pick your brain(s) and get some local views on things.
