Air temps 73-86, cloudy, the mostly sunny with a variable and changing wind most of the day. Water temps 77-81, water clarity 4-5 feet in the lower lake, 2 feet and less upstream, with some dingy (green) water in the backs of some creeks and pockets. The water dropped some during the day, but was overall higher than it has been at around 658.

Shad are EVERYWHERE, and he best fishing will have shad close by. There was some pretty serious schooling gong on Monday afternoon. too.

Folks, you can pick your poison. The tourney we fished was won with a jig, and I'm pretty sure they fished around P.B. #2. But fish were reported coming on shaky heads, buzz baits, crankbaits, spinnerbaits, etc. Our keepers came on a spinnerbait and 7" shaky head worm.

The main thing is that most of the fish are shallow, and some are very shallow. It will just get better.
