Y'all might be in trouble. I'm off to a big start to defend my April win. Apparently found a short bite window on this shallow flat late this morning. Both bites within 10 minutes of each other.

Might be the 2 longest fish I've caught, but skinny

I agree with May being tough. I turned in 105.00" last May and only pulled 3rd place in Hot Rodders.

Dang, nice fish Brandon, around here a 23" fish would be like 8-10lbs. Them things look like they were hungry

My PB of 8lb10oz was a 23.5" fish. These two definitely should have weighed more than they do.

My thoughts: river fish + possibly postspawn (they spawn earlier in the rivers here, especially in the backwaters I find)

I just found out yesterday that I have a ruptured disc. The meds have the pain reduce somewhat, but I'm not sure how much competing I will be able to do this month
