Zippy's on his way home, we replaced one hub and repacked bearings in another. Praying he makes it home safely. Two of his tires were pretty badly worn, he had a good spare, but that still left him with one tire still pretty worn.

Well when I left yesterday I found a power cord running from the back of the garage out the driveway where Zippy just drove off with his batteries still plugged in!  ~roflmao. Maybe that was a bad omen!

I didn't catch anything.  Had a couple nibbles and bites but it was still fun being out on the boat learning from the guys.  Also saw a couple bald eagles flying around. Something I don't see everyday.

Glad everyone got back ok, even if some repairs were needed.

Until next year...

Princeton Man, How did your truck do on the trip?  As I recall it is not as big as your last truck.

Oh, that Hemi wants to do 80mph uphill! I was extremely pleased with the power and handling. Still, I miss my 2500HD Sierra.. I couldn't even tell the boat was behind the Sierra. That Sierra was a lot heavier.. With all the gravel in the lot, we had to use 4wd backing in at night and it seemed to get stuck in 4lock once. Of course I never backed up after disengaging, so maybe that's all it was. I hate knobs and buttons. Running gear components should have real shift levers, not knobs.

More troublesome is the high pitched whizzing or whining sound it developed under the hood. I'm not sure if it's the alternator, power steering, or idler pulley, but it doesn't seem to affect performance.

Hey all, long time no talk!
Just wanted to jump on here and thank Caddyjoe for a great time fishing Guntersville this year. We had a great time and even though we didn't wear them out we caught a few nice fish, and I saw a part of the country I have never seen before including Guntersville, Tim's Ford, and Nickajack. What a great trip!!!
Joe, thanks much, and you know my boat and home are always open for you and your family if you ever come out west.
If you all ever get a chance to make this rally, I would highly recommend it.
And Mr. Lee Smith, good talking to you too! 😂😂😂
