Just wondering what everyone's thoughts were on the ultimate bfs combo ( if you could choose one) I know I'm a fan boy for posting this but really in my opinion it can't be beaten

My jig rod is an 853c. Great for skipping. Haven't tried a 4 power. My loomis budget is one a year lol Getting there slowly. Most are spinning 2 power.

I haven't dabbled to much in spinning rods I have a penn battle 2 3000 and a Shimano stradic fl 2500 they are both tied to ugly stick elites lol . I was looking at the 853c as well just figured ide go for the 4 power def wanted one of the 850's because 90% of my fishing is done on kayaks

I certainly would not consider an 854JWR a BFS setup by any means at all.


Now an Aldebaran 30 with an 852JWR, now you're talking my style.

I use an Shimano 09Aldebaran with a Avail shallow whiffle spool, 6lb Sufix Advanced mono, on a Dobyns Sierra 682. No problems doing anything with that combo. I dont spend big money of rods...hell, my Avail spool cost me more than my rod.
