Greetings to everyone,

Dwayne and I made a trip over to Belton Lake today.  We got the Stratos launched over at BLORA on Ft. Hood.  We fished from 11am - 2:30pm.

Weather Conditions
Forecasted temps were 40 - 68dgrs with 51% humidity with a SE wind at 4mphs and bright sunny skies.

Lake Conditions
The lake is clear to stained depending on your location.  Lake temps ranged from 61 - 65dgrs again depending on your location.

First location fished / Fish Caught / Structure / Depth / Location / Lure used
We boated (2) Largemouth bass while up in Cowhouse Creek from 2 - 7ft of water.  The water was stained and 61dgrs.  We started fishing a stretch that had some rocks lying at the waters edge.  Dwayne boated his bass of this stretch of bank. I boated a short bass off the bank line where the Willow tree were over hanging the creek bank with mixture of laydowns and submerged bushes laying out into the water.  Both largemouths were caught on a Strike King 3/8oz Sexy Shad Swim Jig with a white Zoom Curly Tail trailer

After releasing our short bass we moved over to the North Bluff Area out on the main lake.

Second location fished / Fish Caught / Structure / Depth / Location / Lure used
I really like fishing the North Bluff area here on Belton Lake.  It as a mix structure of wood; rock; submerged standing timber and boulders. We managed to hook up and boat (2) nice Smallmouth Bass off this stretch of bank.  The water was murky and 65dgrs.  Both of the Smallmouth were very aggressive while landing them.  These two brutes were caught in 17ft of water on a Bandit Series 300 Deep Diving Splatter Back Crankbait.
