First season of fishing out of my Alumacraft MV1448NCS build is almost in the books.  This was my first attempt at a custom build.  After a year of fishing out of my build overall Iím pretty happy with it.  During the year Iíve made a couple minor changes and planning a few more before next year.
With a smaller boat I found I could go places you canít go with a bigger boat.  With me a stern and bow mount electric motors and  limited gear on board I only need about a five foot opening and a foot of water to get back where I used to want to get to but couldnít.
Because you canít run from location to location very fast I feel it makes you fish each area a little harder, starting right at the launch area.
Itís been a fun year.

Enjoying retirement in the great Pacific Northwest.  I've turned into a fair weather angler.  Why do it today when I can do it tomorrow?
