I've been watching One Objective on YouTube and it seems quite a few folks are using front mounted trolling motors. They are making mounts for putting them on the front and since I trailer my Hobie and have several other small Yaks I have considered it. Do any of y'all have a front mounted trolling motor with spot lock on yours?

Limited number of folks here that rely on kayak for primary fishing vessel.

It seems to depend on your preferred use. A lot seem to be going the torqeedo route for faster long runs to spots and then rely in traditional drive for fishing. I like the bow mounted idea for being able to work down a bank and spot lock on in wind.

Motorguide seems to be the best route considering they make a kayak version with shorter shaft, remote controlled and with spot lock.
