First off I want to apologize for not posting in a while. Mostly been busy fishing, it's Spring!
Over memorial Day week-end we went with friends up to Lake Almanor. It a great lake at elevation 4500 feet in the lower Sieraa Mountains. It has a good population of smallmouth bass, brown trout, rainbows and landlocked salmon. In spite of the madhouse of Memorial Day Weekend with people finally acting like "We're Free, we're free!!" Kate managed a 3 pounder and a 3.54 pound smallmouth.
She has just started fishing this year so these are her 2 personal best of any species. I beat her pretty good on numbers but she seemed to have the knack for a few bigger ones. Caught them both on a green pumpkin Ned rig TRD.
