Rodney I hope you get to go wet a line soon.
Bud I sure hope you get over that bug that's got a grip on your.
Don I hope you and Dwayne get to go do some fishing before he heads back to AK. I'm really glad to hear he is doing so good.
I live about 25 miles if that from the bottom end of the delta and about a hour from some of the best fishing in the delta. I sure we are going to have to go there this year. I am more of a lake guy love our big ole lakes but if there is no water lol. At least we get to go to Lake Don Pedro this Sunday. Guess I will take a camera along take a few pics of it.
Don't think any of yawl would of heard about our little earth quake this afternoon wasn't big enough for jck only 4.8 and the epicenter was only 25 miles from us, When it hit I was in my tundra  and it started shaking i at first thought I was rear ended then I realized other vehicles around me were doing the California shaker dance lol. there was another bigger one 6.0 100 miles east of me and over 29 aftershocks that we didn't feel was kind of fun been a long time since I felt a tremor.
SCH that's way to many hours on anyone's body need to slow it down some so you don't burn yourself out.
Welp guess ill go get in the rain locker I will post some pics Monday hope some will have a fish or two in them.

It’s about 0100 Sunday morning…
I got home yesterday, clocked out with 140.5 hours!
Went inside, took a nap. I woke up and saw the text where my friend got his certifications in the mail and wanted to celebrate.
Come on over for a few beers!
Right as he was pulling into the driveway about 1900 (7PM), that blasted after hours phone goes off.
Water leak. At the system 15 minutes away? No.
The other system 30 minutes away?
Of course not.
One of my systems on Caney Lake?
Couldn’t be even that lucky.
The leak was literally at the furthest point on my system furthest from the house.
2 hours away.

I get there and the customer is an ancient man, stooped over and barely getting around. Tells me he don’t know what’s going on but there’s water pouring out of his meter box.
It was easy to figure it out from the tire tracks. His neighbor had run over the box with his big dually truck, broke the concrete box, and the broken side guillotined down into his service line and broke it. Unfortunately, it broke on the customer’s side of the meter so even if I had the materials to fix it I wouldn’t be allowed to.

There was still water going into the house, so I waited while he filled every container he could get his hands on along with his bathtubs, reminded him it’d be a good idea to boil it before drinking, referred him to our plumber, and turned the water off to keep it from running up his bill.

Just made it home. Guess beers can wait until tomorrow. I’m going to bed.

Good morning to all,

We're starting the day off with overcast skies and the possibility of rain through out the day.  Our forecasted temps are 71-93dgrs with 77% humidity.  The winds are out of the South at 10mphs.

Nothing planned for today except relaxing some more.  Attended church on line this morning.  Tomorrow after work I'm heading up to Irving, TX to linkup with the wife and Dwayne.  Tomorrow is his last out patient treatment appointment.  I talked with the wife last night and she told me Dwayne want to fly home on Saturday.  So guess I'll spend the afternoon today looking at plane tickets for him.  I know he misses those kids of his badly.

SHC; Hope you get some rest buddy.  Do you have any co-workers in your department?

Top; Tks for sharing the photo.  Glad to see ya able to visit some sites while deployed.

Dog; The weather sure is crazy.  We got another inch or so yesterday afternoon / last night.  If I could I'd sure send this wet stuff your way.  Of course come August we're going to be needing this rain also.   Hope youns get some relief soon.

Bud; Hope you're getting to feel better there and the Honey Do's haven't been over whelming for ya.

Rodney; Tell me a fish story my good man  ~shade

To everyone in the UB Family enjoy the rest of the weekend.  Be safe in your travels if you're out and about.

Another warm and humid day in South Carolina.  A combination of clouds and sun but the humidity remains constant.  We seem to get a few pop up very small showers daily but not all that much.  Summer  in our area is always this way.  Any rain fronts seem to break up just as they arrive due to the typical afternoon sea breeze that keeps the showers mostly inland about 10 miles or so.  Every once in a while one gets closer but not many.

Still having my breathing problems and have made some multiple visits to the specialist this past week to no real relief.  It turns out I have a deviated septum that requires surgery.  I already was aware of this but now it has to be taken care of.  We have scheduled the surgery for July 27th and will be performed in an out patient condition.  At least it isn't one of those full nose jobs just a bit of a smip on some cartilage and thats about it.  Should take about 30 minutes to complete and there will be no nose packing of gause afterward.  Not gonna be pleseant but it could be worse I guess.  I wish it was happening tomorrow but that is not possible due to the surgery schedule.  This by the way is a problem I have known about since I was in my late teens so I should not be surprised.
I am able to get some sleep but not in a bed.  I tend to sit in my recliner to keep my head elevated.  There has been a few nights that I only manage a few cat naps but one in a while I can get 4-6 hours.  It has also turned out that for the first time in my life I have developed an allergy problem and that is compounding the deal.  Just cant get things to clear up enough to improve my breathing.  Anyway I will keep on keeping on until the surgery but must continue to limit my time outside due to the allergies.  I do need to mow this week but you can bet I will be wearing a mask to help a bit.

Bud I sure hope you get some relief soon.
Don I hope you and Dwayne get a chance before he flys home to spend on the water.
Went out on the boat today we went to do more break in and do some trolling for trout well never caught any trout but I went into this one cove and the sonar was loaded so I se another lure that Dale sent me and caught a nice little on who is back home with his family and friends telling them how he got suckered in by a new lure. had a good time until the wake boats and lake lice started getting out of hand.

Good morning!!! 63, rain, rain and more rain, headed to mid/upper 80s, rain, cloudy. Saturday morning I hooked up the boat and headed for the club for a shakedown cruise, no fishing gear. Everything worked like it should, I'll have to replace both bunks sometime. Got home, backing into the driveway the truck decided to take a crap, boats 2 feet short of where it's normally parked, truck won't shift, lever just goes back and forth, We're going to check finances then I'll be looking for another truck. High and dry for a while, trucks are scarce, prices are out of sight.
Bud, sorry to hear you need a surgery. Hopefully it goes quick and let's you get out fishing after the surgery!!!
SHC, hope you get some sleep before you fall asleep and drive off the road and take the long sleep!!!
Dog, at least you got out for some cruising, that's a win. So the ground is rocking and rolling eh. Hope you don't get the big one!!!
Top, nice pic!!! Hope you're back home soon!!!
Donald, sure sounds like Dwayne is doing well, that's good news, prayers still coming!!! I'm high and dry again, was backing the trailer into it's rest stop, had to tweak the line up, stupid truck wouldn't go into reverse, it will go forward, I just don't have a clue what gear I'm in, as I said above there aren't many trucks around and they are way overpriced, going to be a while before I find anything, guess I'll sort out my gear.

Rodney, that kind of sounds like broken linkage or shift cable. If that’s all it is, it should cost less than a couple hundred bucks at most to fix. If you’re able to, you could save about half that by doing it yourself. Of course year, make, and model will affect the difficulty.

If the tranny took a dump though… that’s a different story. I spent close to three grand on a reman Jasper.

Y’all, I only worked 8 hours today.
After I got home I had time to play a video game and when it cooled off I had the energy to go down to the forge and beat on some steel for a bit.

Feeling good. Gonna sleep like a log tonight I’m sure.

Another hot and humid typical southern day here at the beach.  I did mow the yard today but in shifts.  Did the front yard this morning and was interrupted by a short quick pop up shower.  Mowed the back yard late this afternoon after the sun got a but lower and the back yard had some shade.  Otherwise spent the day just hanging out in the A/C.  We did make our first peach pie of the season today.  This is my favorite of all pies and we even had a slice with some ice cream for desert after supper tonight.  The meal was leftover lasagna and the wife made a cucumber and tomato salad to go with it.

Was too hot to walk the dog tonight.  With the humidity sitting at 90% even now it is not pleasant being outside.  We had a breeze earlier in the evening but it is just calm out there now.  Still not able to sleep in the bed so I spend the night sitting up in the living room.  Sure will be glad when I can get this surgery to fix my nose.  Until then I just keep up with my treatments for cleaning the nasal passages twice daily and also hot compresses on the nasal area.  This too happens two times a day.

Good morning!!! 68 headed to upper 80s, boomers this afternoon, high winds, heavy rain, summer time. Going to mow the lawn a bit later, let the rain clean everything up. lo
SHC, I was thinking shift cable, I might wind up having it fixed, don't want to, the body is shot, I do mean shot, but there is nothing available at a reasonable price. It's as crazy for vehicles as it is for boats. Congrats on a short day!!!
Bud, prayers for your surgery to come a bit quicker!!! I know it's miserable being laid up.
Donald, hope all is well at work and with Dwayne.
Have a great day, be well!!!

Good afternoon to all,

Beautiful day across Central Texas today.  Our forecasted temps are 72 - 98dgrs with 56% humidity.  The winds are out of the SE @ 9mph.  It has rained everyday this past week.  Since Sunday night we've gotten 4 inches of rain.  There's rain in the forecast for the rest of the week also.

Made the trip up to Irving and linked up with the wife and Dwayne.  We made it home safely and it's great having them home.  Dwayne will be going home on Saturday afternoon.  He has a medical appointment with his Doctor up in Anchorage on Tuesday.  They want to do a follow up X-ray on his brain to see how's its healing.  According to the reports my wife received from his doctors, trainers and counselors up in Irving he did extremely well .   Everything is looking positive and I want to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers for him.

Rodney; Well that sux about your truck biting the bullet in shift gears.  Good luck with finding a replacement.  Trucks are expensive down here also  ???

SHC;  Sounds like normal hours there buddy.  Hope there are more days like that in the future.

Bud; We'll add you to the daily prayer list.  Sorry to hear about your issue there.  Sure hope for a quick recovery.

Dog:  Tks for sharing the pictures with us.  Dwayne and I aren't going to be able to get a trip in.  But that's alright for right now.  We'll make it up sometime in the near future.

To everyone have a relaxing evening and a Blessed Day tomorrow.

Good morning!!! 70 headed to low 80s, raining, blah!!! Got the lawn mowed yesterday morning, the boomers last evening should have cleaned it all up. lo I stopped by the service center I take our vehicles to, they are a bunch of techs that used to work for the same dealership but got tired of working for dealerships. The service writer thinks it's most likely the shift cable, I'm going to try to get it up there today, if I need to I'll call AAA, I'd like to get a couple more years out of it so we'll have enough to get a near new vehicle. The plan is to get down to one vehicle by time for my wife to retire, I expect the all these ridiculous prices to collapse, sooner than later.

Same old stuff here at the beach.  Hot and humid and it looks to be that way for a while.  Feeling aa bit better each day but still have a ways to go.  I was able to sleep in the bed last night for the first time in a couple weeks.  Just have to keep it up until surgery time in a couple weeks.

Waiting for the sun to go down a bit more then hopefully will take the dog for a walk around the block.  The wife won't go unless the sun is down a bit more but the dog is ready now.  Have to be careful of her paws getting too hot on the road.

Really been a down couple days with the loss of Bo and Smallie's loss of his wife.  Just nothing one can say about  those kind of things.  Just lets you know just how fragile life is sometimes.

High pressure sitting just off the Carolina coast is keeping the hot weather in place with no shot at forming any rain activity.  This will change about Sunday but for now it is what it is.

My 17yr old son has my tablet back in the US, and guess he's been reading up on here. I mean, there's a Tapatalk Icon and when you tap it, only here and my car club pop up. So, he begged me for 2 of this chatterbait jackhammer in fire craw color. So I found them in 3/8oz at 17 bucks a piece and ordered them. Hey, there's a lot worse things a 17yr old can ask money for.

Does anyone know what the fascination is with this color? Because it was pretty much sold out in a few places.

Good morning!!! 69 headed to 73, possible showers, cloudy. I made the decision to have my truck fixed because of the ridiculous costs of new and used trucks out there and I don't really want to buy a 20 year old vehicle. The truck should be ready today barring any problems, if so I might hit the water tomorrow.
Bud, I had the same thought yesterday, 2 folks we've been praying for and now 2 families hurting, unfortunately it's the cycle of life we all live through. These folks have left good memories behind.
Top,  yep, your son certainly can spend the money on far worse things, hopefully he never goes down that road. The down side; you might struggle like heck to beat him when you get home. lo
Donald, enjoy the last couple of days before Dwayne heads back home, there's good news and it's welcome after yesterday when we heard about Jim's wife and the passing of Bo.
Have a great day and weekend, be well!!!

Good morning to all,

We're starting the day off with partly sunny skies with forecasted temps of 74-93dgrs with 76% humidity.  The winds are out of the S @ 14mphs.

We're done cleaning the interior of the school.  I had my team gather up all of our equipment and lay it out for inventory.  We'll start the inventory and cleaning of it on Monday.  The contractors showed up yesterday with the material to fix the stage in the PAC.  They're still waiting on the material for the other areas.

We're getting some legal paperwork done for Dwayne today.  Tomorrow he'll be flying back to Alaska to continue his life there.  I can't say or thank ya'll enough for the prayers that have been sent for Dwayne. Thank You All.

I have Bo's family and Smallie in my daily prayers.  Its real hard with we lose (2) family member but we all have good memories of them.  I wished them well.

Rodney; Good luck getting the truck fixed and tks again for your prayers for Dwayne.
Top; Yes sir there are worst things for a 17yr to be asking money for.  That Fire Craw color is a poplar color just about everywhere.
Bud; I still have ya in my daily prayers buddy.  Hope you get to feeling better soon.
Smallie; I'm so sorry for your lost.  I have you in my daily prayers buddy.

To everyone be safe in your travels and have a relaxing weekend ahead.

One day of vacation down. Got up early. Did a little fishing. I didn’t catch a thing, Connie caught about a 7-8” baby catfish.
We found an estate sale. Picked up a couple small things, some CDs, pot holder, kitchen jars to store coffee and tea. We’re going back today to dig through the books. TONS OF BOOKS. At least one wall in each room covered floor to ceiling in books, a couple rooms had all four walls covered. And it was a pretty wild assortment, vehicle manuals, religious stuff, sci fi, everything in between.

After that, I don’t know what we’re doing. I’d like to work in the forge, but that heat gets intense.
