While much flipping is done from a boat to the outer edge of vegetation - how many flip from the bank when the vegetation only extends 5 or 6 feetout  from the shore ? ... If so , what is your set up and lure choices ?

Well sure. The same stuff I'd use from a boat. Nothing special... A 7' rod and depending on the cover a MH or heavy. Actually, I use a 7-6 flippin' stick for anything. Jigs, creature baits and worms are the normal flippin' baits.

I will be doing an intense flippin' seminar hopefully soon on my YouTube channel. A bunch of the young 'uns and newbies just don't get it. Peace.

Absolutely. I'm a bank bound angler. I'll pitch or flip (real, actual flippin') from the bank with the same setup I would use from a boat.

Many confuse pitching and flipping.  P:itching is moving the lure horizontally to a target and making a quiet entry into the water. Most use a wrist flick to propel the lure but anyway that puts the lure on target with a soft entry is pitching. As I've aged, I use a roll cast and save my wrist. Flipping is a short line vertical or near vertical technique. My BassCat Puma is designed for pitching and flipping. The front fishing position is on the nose of the boat. Until you get used to it, you feel you're sitting over the water.
