I was out Tuesday and though I didn't catch anything I think it's going to be great. I was a little worried about the soft tip, but it feels great and I can keep the bait in the strike zone longer with it. I'd been using a MH with a fast tip and I much prefer the action of this rod for jerkbaits. Cold and rainy today. Haven't tried topwater, but I'll be trying it on some 3/8 - 1/2oz walking baits this weekend. So far I'm really likin' this rod.

I couldn't tell you the last time I had a fish come unbuttoned with trebles on the 704 CB and all I fish are smallmouth. One of my favorite all time sticks. Have used them for years. I'm purchasing three more this week.
