Now that I have fulfilled my obligation to the agency, I will be showing photos. My first is my 2006 BassCat Puma. The 33 gal main tank is under the seats with 2 (10) gal tanks in the rear. I can run about 200 miles using all tanks. This is a professional bass boat setup for high level tournament angling. My strength is pitching and flipping. The front fishing position is far forward with the angler sitting almost on the nose of the boat. In the photo's background is the top of a covered bass boat. The covered boat is another BassCat that was kept at the lake so the tournament boat wasn't abused. It also was my backup if the Puma was unavailable.

Wizard, those are some pretty boats.  We have a Basscat dealer here in HarkerHeights > next community to Killeen / Ft. Hood <  Every now and then I'll stop by and take a walk around.

Tks for sharing those pictures with us.

Wizard, sweet looking boat, I find BassCats to be head turners when ever I see one on the water. Don't see them very much here.

Well you know what I think!

I've seen his Puma. Low hours on a beautiful rig. You know what I think.

Bass Cat. A true premier rig, but more importantly it's about Rick and his late father, Ron Pierce. True visionaries when it comes to bass boats. These things are just put together, different. The amount of science and attention to detail is extraordinary. And I've never owned one, but I sold bass boats for a long time as a profession. Just amazing boats.

My biggest surprise is how Bass Cat survived a period that killed many companies. Yes, they were bought out, but you can't tell it from the product. And the fact that Rick Pierce still spearheads the company just like the old days. That's probably the magic right there. If/when I buy a new bass boat, Bass Cat is one of I think only two that I'll be looking at.

Having seen the Puma and meeting the man himself, first class on both accounts.

Being able to run long distance is an advantage when you fish big water like Lakes Havasu or Mead. It also lets you play with how you balance the boat. A center tank boat runs flatter and is more comfortable in waves while an aft tank boat gives higher ride and more speed. You can decide what you prefer. The boat is designed and hand built in house as are the seats, trims and trailer. Most of the innovations in boat building came from two builders...Ranger and BassCat. Forrest Wood and Ron Pierce led the industry.
