Do we have anyone here who has a Ghost Trolling Motor?  How do you like it?

I don't have one but a close friend does and he is absolutely in love with it and brags on it every time there is a group of anglers to listen. From the power to how easy it is on the batteries, he's in love.

I know it's a jump into the wallet to get one, if you'd like to talk to him, PM me your number and I'll forward it to him to call you.

Removing my Ultrex and putting it on the pontoon boat this weekend.  Installing the Ghost on my bass boat, should have the entire project done this weekend...

Let us know how you like it and your progress.  I installed mine during the winter along with some other upgrades.  I am really enjoying it now that I am getting used to it.

I got my first boat this summer ('94 Gambler Intimidator).  My plan was to buy an older cheaper boat, and spend some $ on electronics, etc.  I got the ghost this winter.  SO excited to try it out.

There's a whole lot of things to like about the Ghost, You're going to like it.  I just wish the remote control was better and similar to the Ultrex remote...

What would be everyone's thoughts (pros and cons) in comparing the Ghost, the Force, and the Ultrex?  I'm in the market of putting a trolling motor with spot lock on the front of my boat, so doing research now.  Any suggestions or thing to look out for?

Ghost is much more efficient and quieter than Ultrex, but the remote is crummy and I'm not sure you can program the foot pedal buttons without connecting to a Lowrance graph.

If you haven't had a spot lock trollling motor before, the Ultrex is an excellent choice, especially if you want to use the remote.  If you spend a lot of time spot locked or on the trolling motor in wind, the Ghost may be preferred.

I've not heard a lot of good things about the Garmin, but it isn't popular in my area.  It's almost all Ultrex or Ghost, Probably 70/30 split...
