What Dobyn rod would you recommend to punch with? I plan on using 3/8 to 1 oz tungsten for weight. I fish from a kayak so I want to factor that in. I consider all lines of rods since I be using braid. Im leaning toward 50 to 60 pond braid. Also any reels recommended for punching?

Im thinking about trading in my Ark rods to get more Dobyn rods. Balance makes those rods feel light.

Any 766 will work. If you don’t exceed 1 ounce the 765 will also work.  There plenty of reel options but what ever you choose, a fast retrieve and 100 mm handle would be a must.

I have 0 experience fishing from a kayak, so I don't know if fishing with a longer rod is an advantage or disadvantage. But if its a disadvantage, and you're going to be punching in thick stuff, the CH736 will get the job done!!  ~bb

No. Only the CH series have the 736. But there are Fury's and Sierra's 735's.

I'm gonna use the Sierra 765.  all the way up to 2oz weights for the California Delta.  I'm only pitching, so the sinker-weight is not affecting my decision much.
