1998 Cherokee bildge pump

How in the world are you supposed to access the bildge pump on the Cherokee? I can see the edge of it but can't get to it

I know very little about Rangers, but I can tell you from experience in general that pumps and plumbing can be a lot of work to replace. I don't think boat manufacturers ever thought a pump would have to be replaced.

There's a square panel in the middle of the under the long hatch at the rear of the boat.  You have to remove that panel and below it are the bilge pump and LiveWell pumps.  Not hard to replace.

These are pics from when I had my batteries upgraded and everything cleaned up and re-wired in the back of my 1994 Ranger 492VS.  Same basic design for most of these older Ranger boats.  Oil tank moved off to the side, remove the panel and everything is right there.  Granted, you still need to stand on your head to replace everything, but I would be replacing livewell valves and bilge pumps while I was in there...
