[No Excuses]

Me and Bro in law got in my old departments annual derby Saturday. Put the first one in the box at 7:01 and continued to catch fish most of the day. Lost 3 or 4 that would have put us in first. Just couldn't seem to get the kicker we needed. We got 2nd with 14.92, first was just over 16. We were culling by 9:30. Prob caught around 20. Every fish was caught on my worms, in GooseBerry and 810, and one on a new color I don't even know what to call. It's Purple Zonker with orange flake. Had a great day on the water and I love doing well in the derby for the FD I retired from. I am absolutely in love with my new rod from Brad's Custom Rods and Tackle in Taylor AR. It's so light and sensitive. Also the kid I sponsor in HS leagues dad and grandfather fished it. They finished just behind us in 3rd. So awesome to me to see my logo on his boat wrap.
