Sleeper Craw

Picked up a few, but have not tied one up yet. I watched a Hook Up Tackle YouTube video, and they were talking about MB rods to use. It got me thinking, which Dobyns rod(s) might be best for this particular lure. My first try out of the gate will be DX 703 or DX 743. Anyone else throw the Sleeper Craw? What rods have worked for you?

I dont draw such fine line parameters as THUT, but I think my Sierra 704 would work out of my pile of rods.

being it's a bait a little over a 1/2 ounce, I'd say any three power to five power would work.

I haven't tried the MB version, but I have fished the Tackle HD Craw which looks as good as the Mega Bass and you get 4 to 1 .
Just use whatever rod you would drag a jig of the same weight.

I use my DX743 for 1/2 Dark Sleepers with good results.

I used one on a Fury 704 with 12lb Big Game and broke off on hookset on a dink

I picked up half a dozen of them and plan to fish them on my DX744 next week in Parker, AZ. I'll be fishing 16lb fluoro with them. I'll report back.

I threw one on the DX 743, with 15 lb flouro. Did not get a bite, but looking at the hook, I think any of my 4 powers on 15 lb should be right in the wheel house
