Motorguide issue

I have an older motorguide tour 80# trolling motor. I can't for the life of me get the motor head turning radius the same in both directions. It goes around too far to the left and not all the way backwards to the right.
I have tried cable adjusters but nothing helps. Would this be an issue of stretched cable?

Every motor guide I've owned does this. You can adjust how the motor sits in the clamps to counter it.
